Resistance training is a form of Strength Training in which exercises are performed against a specific opposing force. This helps to define and build muscles and can contribute to Weight Loss.

There are two different types of positions in the field of exercise endurance training. One type is isotonic exercises, which are movements of a specific body part moving against a force, and isometric exercises are movements in which the body (or body part) is maintained even against the force.
