Certina sport watches set the standard for water resistance.
In water sports, we recommend a water clock with a minimum strength of 100 meters. Everyone Certina sport watches are equipped with the "DS" or "DS + 'system, and testing at a minimum pressure of 10 atmospheres (equivalent to a depth of 100 meters ** at sea level) in accordance with ISO 6425.
Certina Each must undergo a series of tests for water resistance before reaching the point of sale. The first test clock air under high pressure to ensure that no air can find its way into the watch case. The next test takes through variations of temperature in a moist environment to ensure the total absence of condensation inside the watch glass. The last hurdle that must be overcome by all the test Certina dive: several hours under water at high pressure, to simulate the depth to which the clock has been certified, and guaranteed to bear.
** Important! The classification of water resistance of our watches is based on laboratory pressure tests comparable to the pressure conditions to which a swimmer or diver may still be exposed to the corresponding depth in a wide range of watersports, and may show some variation. The test conditions in which the clock represents a basis for the minimum protection that should give a watch waterproof, and can vary in cases where strong or intense movements occur.
It should also be understood that the water resistance can not be guaranteed for an indefinite period of time. Can be compromised by a clash accidental or impact of the crown, button or other areas. For this reason, we recommend that you check your watch for water resistance by a person approved Certina Care Center a year and replacing any defective component, if necessary. One should not, under any circumstances, attempt to open a modern complex in one clock same.
