Who Watches Professional football?
That's easy. Almost everyone. Or at least almost everyone. Men, women, children. Young people, elderly. Teachers, doctors, lawyers, the family priest. People of all races and religions watch football. People of all shapes and sizes. Even the family pet has been known to watch a game or two. Each and every Sunday during football season, stadiums across the country are filled to capacity, with thousands of people. Millions of people each and every Sunday, television viewers are tuned to the games.
What is professional football?
For those unfamiliar with the game, professional football is not just a bunch of grown men running around a field down there touching the filling of the other. Professional football is a game played by athletes who possess a rare combination of strength and speed. In what other sport is you see men weighing over 300 lbs. they run like the wind? Professional football is a game with 11 players per side moving at tremendous speed, all working in sync with the other, unlike anything you'll see in any other sport.
"When people see professional football?
The season NFL actually starts in early August with preseason games. These are games that teams play to get themselves ready for regular season which begins in early September. During the season, games are played each week, with most games played on Sunday afternoon. There is also a Sunday game night and Monday night. Moreover, later in the season, some Thursday night games and Saturday's game. Do not forget, the Day of Action Thanksgiving, which now gets to see, not one, not two but three games! The regular season ends with playoffs in January of games played on Saturdays and Sundays and, finally, topped with Sunday's Super Bowl.
Where people see professional football?
Places where there is a TV. At home in home of a friend in a restaurant, a bar, Health Club, etc. Even your local Sears. Trust me, I know. And I guarantee, wherever there is a TV, is be a crowd.
If you are lucky, you get to go to the stadium and watch the game in person. Depending on where you live, if you are in a cold weather city, better bundle up! But it all worth it. Why, if you want to see 60,000 fans to do?
Why do professional football?
Only because it is the greatest game ever! Think about it – why else millions of fans adjust their clocks in the game every Sunday? And why thousands of people fills the stadiums in the U.S.? There must be something in this game, right?
I am convinced that there are two types of people. Those who already are fans and who want to be fans, but not yet because they do not understand football. And the reason does not understand, is because they have nobody (or nothing) to really explain football to them. Okay, have a "jargon" all his own, but I guarantee, once you've come to learn, you do not look back.
