weapon that is more suitable for the whooping crane, Straightsword, sword, or staff?

I have reached a turning point in my Martial Arts career, currently I'm learning the white South Shaolin style of the crane and I now have the ability to learn a form of weapons, I do not know what weapon would be more appropriate for me, sword, straight sword, or staff. Any help from someone with experience in this subject would be greatly appreciated.

staff was my first gun, easy to get, relatively inexpensive and easy to replace and strong so if you hit yourself accidentally it isn't so bad, (I did) you should get a better view for the co-coordinating personally i use a broomstick in haha first, I still have it now, but then moved to a sword I hope helped
