How can I get the taste and soap in a cup to sip once clean?

When you wash a sippy cup (not the dishwasher), the Copa has a soapy smell, and taste within. I read that some people say they wash it with Clorox, but this seems a little dangerous for me. Am I wrong? Also, I read something about washing the cup with vinegar. Are these the only two options to remove the taste and soap. Thank you!

It's true if you use chlorine that will take care of the problem. I use it when I wash the cups for my youngest children and bottles. It is safe if rinse well. Bleach bottles usually have a part of its label saying how much bleach to use for washing, cleaning, etc. usually just fill my sink and add about 1 / 4 cup.
