Has anyone ever had a compression test place after a mammogram?

I had my first ever mammogram last week. For some reason, I felt very nervous and worried about the results. When I saw the picture seemed to have a white spot on the radiograph, which filled energy my anxiety. Today I received a call from my doctor's office saying he had to return in a compression test of my left breast. I was told do not worry and I just wanted to review an area by the density level of my chest. I'm going crazy …. Does anyone have any pearls of wisdom?

Hi Sandra, I know this can be frightening. Remember that one in ten women will be called for additional images (compression views, enlargement views or breast ultrasound), after having a mammogram. Of call-backs, only 10% turn out to be something scary. I am assuming you are a woman my age (I am 36), as it was the first mammogram. We still have small breasts …. does not look in the mirror, but inwardly they are young. Small breasts are dense, and this is perfectly normal. Dense tissue looks white in the film. All signs of breast cancer (either a mass / mass or microcalcifications) are also white on X-ray film You can not see the abnormal, white pathology through white tissue normal.
