Mike "Quick" Swick (born 19 June 1979) is an American professional mixed Martial Arts fighter.

He was a participant in the first season of The Ultimate Fighter, a reality television series produced by the Ultimate Fighting Championship, which is one reason for their popularity. Was eliminated from the competition after a semifinal loss to Stephan Bonnar.

Since joining the ranks of the UFC, Mike has gone 5-0 and is considered one of the top middleweight contenders in the UFC

MMAToday: How Did You get involved in martial arts and MMA?

MS: I started in Tae-Kwon-Do at the age of 8. I just move from there every day since …

MMAToday: Once you started you ever thought to do all the way to the UFC?

MS: I expected! Ha ha

MMAToday: How much of his appearance on TUF affect your training and your career?

MS: It made my career what it is today. It is the exposure I needed and made me train harder than ever.

MMAToday: What is like moving from fighting in smaller shows to fighting in the UFC? Were you nervous or feel that they were willing to be there?

MS: It's a big difference. The UFC is the Big Show. I felt prepared.

MMAToday: Your first 4 fights UFC lasted a combined total of 6 minutes or so, what was the hurry?

MS: I'm just an aggressive fighter … ha ha

MMAToday: How has your training been? And how is your hand?

MS: Training is going great! The hand is almost 100%. I'm still doing sparring and glove work, I'm just being a bit careful with him.

MMAToday: Can you give us a little in their training regimen?

MS: We train 2-3 times a day, 6 days a week.

MMAToday: Who are you currently training with?

MS: We have a great team now … Regarding training, I Lynn Schutz, Bob Cook, Dave Camarillo, and Javier Mendez. As my teammates Fitch, Koscheck, Thomson, Prangley, Southworth, Fukada, plus a lot of nooks and large. Baroni should be back soon too.

MMAToday: What motivated you to go ahead and fight?

MS: Want to be the best …

MMAToday: Your next opponent is Yushin Okami on March 3, nothing special planned for that fight?

MS: This struggle is not secure. Nothing has been signed. We're still working on it. I want this fight though.

MMAToday: Where do you see yourself in the title picture Medium Weight, if they are victorious?

MS: I guess it depends on how I am. I plan to perform at my best.

MMAToday: How well the battery against the current champion Anderson Silva?

MS: You would not care to know … ha ha

MMAToday: Is there any other middleweight in the past UFC would like to fight? Why?

MS: Everybody!

MMAToday: Would you like a rematch with Chris Leben?

MS: That fight is going to pass the time and yes I will be happy when it does. After his performance against MacDonald however, would be a step so far in my career. Want to fight the top contenders at the moment.

MMAToday: What fights in his career are the most memorable for you?

MS: All my UFC fights have been very memorable.

MMAToday: How long has your current contract?

MS: A little over a year …

MMAToday: Any chance of jumping ship to another promotion when it happens?

MS: No..

MMAToday: Is there a fight outside the UFC wants to mix with?

MS: Not really thought.

MMAToday: What fighters do you like and why?

MS: GSP, Liddell, Couture, CroCop, Riggs, Loiseau, Silva, etc. .. All that exciting! I'ma big MMA fan myself.

MMAToday: What fighters you see yourself doing?

MS: Too many to list!

MMAToday: Who do you think would be his toughest fight and why?

MS: Right now, I think Anderson Silva. It would a good test for me.

MMAToday: What are your hobbies outside of MMA?

MS: Adult. I love traveling! Whatever happens after death occurs, but this is only the land once and I will have to see everything. I like playing poker.

MS: Not sure. Do not follow the forums too to see who is the favorite and more …

MS: I am excited, I really like.

MS: I think just getting the best fighters from around the world from all organizations and I think it's great. I love competition.
