The loss of hair on the lower leg / tibia?
My hair on the legs, but I lost a lot of hair on the front left shin, right above my ankle. The thinning of hair in that area started some time ago and is now starting to look like a big patch not found. The area is also dry / ash on a regular basis. The hair on the right leg is normal.?
Some medications can cause. This type of hair loss improves when you stop taking the medication. Drugs that can cause are blood thinners (also called anticoagulants), medicines used to treat gout, medicines used in chemotherapy to treat cancer, vitamin A (if too much is taken), birth control pills and antidepressants. Certain infections can cause loss. Fungal infections of the scalp can cause loss of children. The infection is easily treated with antifungal medicines. Finally, hair loss may occur as part of an underlying disease such as lupus or diabetes.
