What is Shaolin boxing all this?

I mean as …. What kind of things to do in this Martial Art? I just heard about it and I curiosity. I'm looking online and I am confused with things such as "Shaolin" Kung Fu "Shaolin" monks …. etc. Are weapons involved? Would you like belts in karate, taekwondo? or just punching / kicking pads and sparring …!? (I imagine that what in boxing " be in the title … I'm not sure)

1.) Shaolin is the name of a Buddhist monastery in China. Shaolin means "young forest". Http: / / www.chinashaolintemple.com/ 2.) Wudang is the name of a Taoist monastery in China. Http: / / www.damo-qigong.net/temple/wudang/kungfu.htm both Shaolin and Wudang are religious organizations and produce Buddhist monks and Taoist priests. Both practice Shaolin and Wudang Martial Arts as a means of physical conditioning, Self Defense, self reliance, and as half of dynamic meditation or moving (instead of sitting in meditation). They are monks and priests in the first place and the warriors past. Shaolin OK Kung Fu is a "complete system of self-defense. A complete system means that you train in: the use of weapons, melee vacuum, defense against the individual kata and opponents mulitiple;, pressure points, wrist locks and joint manipulation of children. There are some tactics spy like climbing the wall, escapes from handcuffs, how to tie people, sneak into a castle, etc, etc. And for a bonus, kung fu also teach you how to cook, play chess (Chinese version), good hygiene habits, and philosophy. Everything you need for you to become self-sufficient, both mentally and physically. Shaolin Kung Fu wants you become an "officer and a gentleman" and not just a prize to fight bullies. In the Shaolin Temple is someone who just kung fu and anything more would be considered a bit odd.
