guys … Kung Fu Vs Tai Chi?
Is there any similarity between Kung Fu and Tai Chi? What do you think is more effective in Self Defense?
Kung Fu is a name that includes a large number of Chinese boxing systems including Tai Chi Chuan. Kung Fu Ask if you can beat another style is like asking whether the Eastern Hemisphere fighting styles can beat a particular style of fighting. I've seen a lot of Kung Fu stylists of all the different systems handle well in a situation of self defense. Two very effective style of kung fu I've seen are Wing Chun and Jun Fan. These two systems go right on fighting and self defense and have very little emphasis on traditional kata or too emphasis on animal shapes that are counterproductive in hand-to-hand. I like Combat Tai Chi, as it also establishes the right to self defense activity and practice offensive, with little emphasis on Traditonal ways.
