Tae Kwon
Tae Kwon do is a Martial Art and combat sport originating in Korea. It aims to achieve modesty, perseverance, self control and indomitable spirit. Across training devoted one can gradually attain mental and physical fitness. Through practice and repeat every step of perfection, we become more patient. Trust in itself is achieved through the power of one's body and knowledge of how to use it anywhere and in any situation. Sparring helps us build humility the courage, agility and accuracy and develops self-control. By making the patterns, we can increase our flexibility, grace, balance and coordination. Across discipline and interaction with others, we learned of the cooperation and mutual respect. The prejudices are not welcome and we soon learned that racial barriers are only are in the way of our training. Along with the development of a healthier, more agile and more flexible body, also increase resistance through a system normal training. Health related effects of training are numerous.
Taekwondo has been evolving for more than several thousand years. However, it was not until the 1950s that Taekwondo was standardized and organized by Gen Choi Hong Hi and the sport is out of the borders of Korea, at first to Vietnam and the U.S., and then around the world. Today, Taekwondo is organized in three international federations: the World Taekwondo Federation (WTF), based in Seoul, Korea, the International Taekwondo Federation (ITF), based in Austria and the World Taekwondo Federation (GTF), based in Korea. Taekwondo has recently been declared an official Olympic sport with the first competitions held during the Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia, in 2000
WTF Tae kwon do is a full contact sport where you can kick in the head (throwing punches to the head are not allowed), it is very dangerous to practice tae kwon do. During competition, full protection is used to protect competitors. To avoid head injuries, a competitor is not allowed to participate in a competition for three months if one was shot down by a bullet in the head. If the same incident happens again after these three months, you're not allowed to participate for half a year. Another KO to the head after the results of this period of one year and a half in a permanent exclusion of competitions. ITF Tae kwon do is called semi-contact. Not allowed attack the head with full force. However, lets throw punches to the head, using the so-called "death blow", stop just an inch before the finish. To avoid injury, ITF uses gloves at the battle of competition.
Tae kwon do is known for its dramatic flying and spinning kicks. The player must learn the fundamentals tae kwon do through choreographed sequences of combative moves, the breaking of plates or other materials, and two persons controlled sparring. They also receive instruction on principles such as courtesy, integrity, perseverance and self control.
