Before introducing Tai Chi in Western countries, the health benefit is explained by traditional Chinese medicine, which is not compatible with modern medicine. Studies have shown that by practicing tai chi for people couples over a long period of time can promote balance control, flexibility, and may even increase the condition of the heart and cardiovascular system. Tai chi for older adults is also great because it has been shown to reduce pain which could be the result of a fall in older patient. Tai Chi can also help to elderly patients who may be experiencing arthritis, MS, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease. ADHD symptoms can be reduced in adolescents practice Tai Chi, and even can burn as many calories as a skier in the practice of low impact movements of this martial art. Tai Chi provides many benefits for people of all ages, but the tai chi for older adults show the most benefits. For those who have ever suffered a heart attack, blood pressure high, or heart surgery, Tai Chi for seniors will be easy to practice and make you feel healthier and happier.

A scientific study showed a significant relationship between Tai Chi and a vaccine. A group of healthy adults were given VARIVAX, which is the chickenpox vaccine, and only half of them participated in Tai Chi. The varicella zoster virus causes an infection and skin rash known as chickenpox, and if the virus would be reactivated, is known as shingles. The study showed that 16 weeks later, those who participated in Tai Chi on a regular basis had a higher level of immunity to shingles than those who did not comply with art martial. Performing Tai Chi does not directly prevent anyone getting shingles, but increase the effectiveness of the vaccine.

Because old age brings along health of the poor, is important for seniors to participate in an activity to stimulate your mind and body. Tai Chi for seniors is a perfect activity because it is easy to keep aware of and has added health benefits. Tai Chi is a style-oriented Martial Arts program and can maintain a long and healthy life.
