Yoga Mat
personalized Yoga Mat is too annoying, not to spoil the atmosphere of a yoga class?
I wanted to get my sister a cool mat personalized yoga with a photo of their dogs in it, but then a friend said: "A teacher of yoga does not want you to have a mat with a picture of it, it would distracting. "I do not know whether or not, or perhaps like a large flower or guitar, but it would also be a bad choice? I know that yoga is all about being calm and clear your mind though …… What do I need it, looooove yoga.
I understand the point that you make your friend, but on the other hand, part of the practice in a group setting is to learn to turn their focus toward the interior of what they are doing, and adjust the distractions. Speaking for myself, I do not care what picture, image, or words are on the table for anyone. When I'm "in" my practice, I'm noticing what students are doing other, use, or Permanent … but certainly we recognize that we all have different levels of concentration, and thougthful to do is respect others when possible. If possible, it would be best to ask the master of his sister. Short of that, I guess this will have photo mat on one side? If it becomes big business in the classroom, probably can turn it around. Or you could always use it as a practice mat at home. Namaste ', dwb
