Canvas on Demand, a company specializing in specialty printing of photos at the conversions of canvas, recently donated 18 'x 18' Canvas Boxing ring to help LAMiTCA, a nonprofit organization that works with "risk" youth, ages 8-20 years old.
LAMiTCA, located in Selma, North Carolina is the idea of organizing and Death Darryl Kirkland. Having experienced educators 'working poor' families and find very few activities that are affordable for their own children, they realized the importance of providing children a place to meet and have meaningful activities to do after school and on weekends.
LAMiTCA works to achieve its objective of helping the working poor class of citizens to become productive adults through activities mentoring, education efforts, and a resource center. LAMiTCA provides many resources focused on enriching the lives of those it touches, including classes, such as English as a second langage, GED instruction and activities that include ballet, boxing and modern dance. That's where the need for the canvas produced. Darryl canvas asked about the ownership of the claim if they could help provide a canvas for the space. Although the material needed to canvas boxing ring is not same material used in the Canvas on Demand ( http://www.canvasondemand.com) owners felt obliged to help and efforts Darryl Death and donated the material purchased by Everlast, a company manufacturing canvas boxing ring. As a result of the donation, LAMiTCA hopes to expand its influence to empower children in their local community, helping to develop hope and self worth.
