Can you do Pilates in a body Weider Total 5000?
I like the Total Gym, which sells Chuck Norris, but this is sooo much cheaper! Is there anyone own these and know if it works for pilates?
The good news: If saving money is your goal, there is no reason for any reformer (or reformist-like) of the tool. The Pilates Mat exercises are whole and complete in themselves, you only need a mat. The bad news: AFAICT, There is no way to learn without participating in Pilates classes and / or private Pialtes with a qualified instructor. I have met many people who claim to do Pilates, but only videos followed, but invariably do not understand the fundamental differences and have bad habits. Until there is a home device that can observe and correct (with hands on corrections), it is extremely unlikely that one can learn Pilates without instruction in person. My specific suggestion is to not buy this team and instead of buying a copy "training of the force on the ball" (by Colleen Craig), buy a swiss ball, and buy a dynaball (The text explains what it is). Find someone who is doing Pilates Ball classes locally and take at least a dozen classes – at least 2x a week. Optimally, take classes 2x a week for at least 3 months. After that point, you will have a fighting chance of working effectively on their own. This will cost over $ $ for the team you list, but if learning Pilates is your goal, the purchase of such equipment will not help. I suggest using the ball because the component balance with destabalizing balls that provides information on the correct position and commitment. NOT a substitute for an instructor, but it will help. All body / mind are the activities of fundamentally different type of exercise than we are accustomed. The development of perception and consciousness is as important as the force that will develop.
