But there is a small low cost device that can provide all the motivation you need to go out and start moving your body around a little longer.
The pedometer, as it is known, can also make you want to do and may even enjoy do it!

- 1. So what is a pedometer?
It is a small, compact device used to measure the number of steps taken.
And, and measuring the number of steps taken in the exercise of its local neighborhood, you can also measure your steps while you're climbing the stairs, mowing the lawn, or shopping.
- 2. How it works
It is small enough to clip to your belt and is equipped with a pendulum that measures a step each time your foot touches the ground.
- 3. How much?
Many have been given free pedometers as part campaigns, local health authorities for people moving their bodies more.
If you can not find a campaign in your area, you can buy a pedometer with a reasonable number of features for as little as $ 20.
- 4. Which is exactly what we do?

More expensive models may include any or all of the following additional features:
- a soothing voice to tell you how many steps took
- a wrist monitor
- a stopwatch

- pass filter for greater accuracy
- A copy of the light so you can see your pedometer in the dark.
- How do I set my pedometer?
First you need to enter your height, weight stride length and a half.
To get to the stride length, most instructional guides will be asked to measure a distance of say 10 meters, and to count the number of steps you take to cover it. Divide this number by the distance in general and this gives your stride length average.
Once it is created, just follow the instructions to activate the settings to use, clip your pedometer to your belt and you're ready to go.
- 6. How to take the readings?
At any time after the beginning of your routine, you can stop with the flip open the pedometer and take a reading. Of course, you should not do this very often, because it disrupts the rhythm of her walk.
