Do you still have copies of old Vhs Tapes stacked in our home and office shelves gathering dust? If you're like me, you have a video player below their disconnected session DVD.
If you are in the same boat, then you will be pleased to know that the copy process of change valuable content from VHS tapes through DVD duplication more than is actually very easy. It's a great way to preserve and share your old tapes, whether personal or business related.
The process of converting a DVD requires essentially a Vhs Tape player, or camcorder. Simply connect your camcorder or player or VHS tape on your PC, if your computer has ports to connect these devices in. You also need a minimum of 512 MB of RAM and a 2GHz processor, as well about 20 GB of free hard disk space. His team also requires a CD-RW. You also will need a video editing software.
There are several conversion options if you want to transfer VHS tapes to DVD, and if properly produced, the DVD can be seen even better than the original tapes, including VHS formats such as VHS-C, SVHS, Hi8, regular, and beta versions. Here are some tips on how to do this.
First you need to capture a Vhs Video to a computer video editing program using an analog-to-DVD converter. Otherwise would have to encode to MPEG-2, then publish your DVD. This provides some flexibility to edit the video as you like by adding transitions, music or special effects. One drawback is that it is much time.
You can also capture video on your computer as an MPEG-2 using hardware capture devices that convert VHS to MPEG-2, then DVD author. Some analog low-cost hardware MPEG boxes offer good quality because the analog video source need not be converted to DV before be encoded into MPEG.
Finally, the fastest and easiest way to convert VHS to DVD is to connect your VHS VCR or camcorder to a DVD recorder. This works as a VCR, and VHS to DVD recorder basically gives you a DVD copy of the tape in real time. However, it is important to ensure that the analog video is of the highest quality possible, because any error in the original video tape could be increased when encoding in MPEG-2 and becomes the DVD.
It takes very little time to copy a VHS tape to DVD. If you are not the type to take this kind of project yourself, a DVD authoring and production house will be happy to handle for you through their own conversion and DVD authoring process.
