Question of oxygen. I checked my oxygen with a pulse ox.?
It reached 83 in 3 minutes with excertion .. Then they took a blood gas was 100. So what causes different reading. both reading though my heart was 170's. By the way, I'm 22 years old with a pacemaker manufacturer and mild asthma. This is the pulse ox monitor Tirdad this reading.
I've been reading your other questions, sounds like you deffinately have something to do. I also see that 're an ER technician, so it should have an idea something is wrong. It is the pulse ox monitor right?, Does your radial pulse count match what the oximeter is the reading of your pulse? If you do, you know that is not the oximeter itself, or problems with circulation to hands. Also as technology must also ER know that 83% SpO2 is bad, very bad. As for the ABG, I honestly do not know why you have a reading of 83% in the oximeter and 100% in ABG than poor circulation. My advice is to get to a cardiologist rather than get to the bottom of this for you. BTW if your Sat is 83% really need supplemental oxygen, at least until I get what he's doing SAT go as low fixed. Low levels of O2 are very hard on the heart and will do more harm than is necessary …
