PHP timer that triggers an action after a set time?

I'm working on the events calendar in php.I want to run the alarm when user-specified events within gather to notify the user.Deadline is the year, month, hours, minutes and seconds. Thanks in advance.

Good, could easily have simply checking scripts to events when they log, but in reality, this does not help them unless they are registered in every day, whether a past event that only say yes or do nothing. A lot of hosting services for disable can be taxed and potentially unsafe. It's basically a piece of script that runs every day at a specific time. What you want to do is have the sequence command check the calendar for all users of events and then perform an action if it finds one. If you want users to see always the number of hours / minutes / seconds you have up to an event you will have to implement some client side script that can be updated on the fly without reloading the page (JavaScript).
